Bit like the "dumbing down" that many women have to go through when they meet Mr Right. Or do we just want to savour the moment, especially when mates are about.

Actually the dumbest women are those who were born with brunette or other hair colors, but who chose to dumb themselves down by dying their hair blonde, for men's attention.

WHEN men meet fair-haired women they really do have a “blonde moment”.
Scientists have found that their mental performance drops, apparently
because they believe they are dealing with someone less intelligent.

men’s ability to complete general knowledge tests after exposure to
different women. The academics found that men’s scores fell after they were
