I suppose that since you used a question mark, then it is a question. Mine was a sarcastic remark. It seems, though, than in reality there is a huge energy potential for these icy wastelands. Arctic hydrocarbon resources have been explored since the 40s. Gas fields make up more than 80%. Total is about 3% of the world’s reserves, not huge. It is not likely to be corrected to the best over time. Also, imagine how expensive pipes would be to pump the gas from the remote places. This is not all about hydrocarbons, but to control navigation. |
