It’s patronizing, condescending, and in fact is the very kind of attitude that created the impulse for our separation from the paternalistic monarchy that refused to allow for the notion that the colonies should have a say in their own governance. I mean how dare we people actually have the freedom to decide on our own health care. Saw this this morning and thought the same thing. Our healthcare is just fine...but it's not about "We, the people..." anymore. It's about Congress, the Administration, and bureaucrats forcing the American people to take what they dole out. Did you see Nader's comments to Hannity when asked if he was willing to take the same healthcare coverage that he is supporting? His response was he is on his wife's policy...not the Congressional one. What a dud! |
