egoldstein says: The connection between physical and mental health seems absolute, so i suppose it shouldn't be a surprise that eating well is not only good for your body, but for your emotional well being too. I don't mean to sound naive or overly simplistic, but if everyone made a commitment to healthier eating and drinking i think it would solve a whole lot of our problems - including bringing down the overall costs of health care. I say this mostly sarcastically, but in some way i feel that people who eat and drink like crap should have to pay higher taxes - there is no doubt their eating habits cause a greater economic burden on society. i feel that people who eat and drink like crap should have to pay higher taxesi don't, but pop for the story. Wow, that's pretty bigoted. Also, kind of bizarre. You are a progressive who supports taxing the responsible, wealth creating drivers of society to redistribute to the poor and irresponsible. Yet, suggest taxing the poor (who happen to have the most unhealthy diets) to subsidize the most responsible. Hey...I got an idea. How about this? Why don't we just live and let live. Hmmm? I pop for the "eating healthy" thing! They told me 7 years ago I would be in a wheelchair in 2 years from my 'osteoarthritis' I proved them all wrong by not taking their stupid pills, eating mainly fruits and veggies, and having 2 tipples a day! |
