Practice, practice, practice! It's difficult to always remember these when emotionally charged, but they end much better than the alternative.

#11 could be: "Don't flame or troll on the Internet". There are a surprising amount of people I know who are "smart" or "intellectual" but are clearly not emotionally intelligent, because they act like sheer jerks in contexts where they feel they have some degree of anonymity.

And yeah, I'm saying this because I just came over from YouTube and reading the comments there.

Emotions have nothing to do with intelligence, just ask Mr. Spock.

Great theory and good tie ins, but how do we get to put them into practice? Tattoo them on our foreheads? Maybe not, could make reading them a bit tricky.
