When I had Windows XP I did a few tweaks to it to increase the system performance by adjusting a few registry values in Hkey Currect User&lt;Control Panel&lt;<A class="iAs" classname="iAs" href="#" target="_blank" itxtdid="8697581">Desktop</A>. The values I adjusted were menushowdelay, I set that from 400 to 1. I adjusted waittokillapptimeout from 20000 to 2000. Lastly I adjusted Autoendtasks from 0 to 1.
