I have several types of epiphites and I like my coffee.
Except as a source for a drink, I'm not aware of them being of much value in any of nature's chains. They would be good for mossies to breed in if the water isn't changed every day or two.
They all love a little weak fish fertilizer sprayed on.

When I have my first cup of coffee in the morning I really don't care where it was grown, where it's from, or anything else about it. As long as it's got the right amount of milk and sugar and it's hot but not to hot. When I'm fully awake then I'll worry about the world.
