When the "wrong" kinds of families tried to enroll their children, they were told that there was a Polish language requirement. Most of the families who were told this were Black; the only Polish language we ever heard was from the old nuns who wanted to swear at us without being understood. Bilingual instruction ended when my father was in third grade. Sometimes, the closer the relationship, the more venomous the hatred. There are no "wrong kinds or Christians". There is only one. There are many, many different kinds of "christians", by name only. Tell that to the Baptists who dislike the Catholics who dislike the Lutherans and so on. Many religions apply the "Christian" label to themselves, without truly being Christian. These religions follow the ways of Abraham, Peter, Paul, or a multitude of other figures who are not Jesus Christ; the one and only person whose words should matter to the true Christian. Having said that, it is also correct to say that there are essentially two types of Christians; those who follow the philosophy of Jesus Christ, the son of God, and all those who have polluted the message of Jesus with trivialities and humanities from other people; quoting as holy scripture things that are actually at odds to what Jesus really said during his time on ea... |
