We often hear of the need to "protect" cultures from contamination. Of what good would it do to protect a culture like show in this clip from outside influence except to introduce the concept of equality, liberty, and morality stripped from the repressive theistic dogma that exists there now?

Some things are simply wrong. Justifying them on the basis of culture or religion is no justification at all. It's an excuse.

I agree. It's true that we sometimes impose our own values on other cultures presumptuously and ignorantly, but some things are just wrong. Female genital mutiliation is another one. That, too, just has to stop.
