Flying is awesome baby; I felt like I was up in the clouds with God on a Charmin ultra soft chariot! And the lack of oxygen to my brain was absolutely delightful. I really and truly wanted to join the mile high club but I was too tired and too distracted by direct tv and the free chips and the hot male steward, and the friendly marshall, and my ears hurting, and my legs going into a cramp, and my friendly conversation with the woman next to me about how to get a better fare next time, and then we landed. GAWD, I love take-off and landing, it's better than a roller coaster ride. TN, the bus to the terminal was scarier than a take off and landing.

Alcohol is not an option when I fly .It's to keep me from being the guy screaming.

I used to be a navy photographer. Which means they'd put a harness on me, fasten it to a turn-buckle on the deck of a helicopter and I would stand on the very edge of the open door and hang out to take pictures of Soviet ships as we flew around them. It was a thrill I'll never forget. The wind from the rotor blowing down across your face, nothing but ocean below as you buzz around the ships you're photographing; wow!

Of course, I agree with the part about screaming. If you're going down, how the Hel can it help anything?

I wish someone would punch 'em out - even in movies!!

I love flying too and that's how I'd like to go, in a plane crash. Come to think of it the screams would bother me too.
