We chose these people Nearly as bad as our bunch of criminals sitting in parliament. Our health minister is a convicted thief, and an alcoholic (who has just had a liver transplant) and denies, along with our 'intelligent' President, that HIV causes AIDS. At least 35 others have been convicted of fraud, and yet still retain their positions. And just about all of them are feathering their nests at the tax payer's expense. Sickening, isn't it? These are the people that represent us. I'm not surprised, because here, in Italy, we have a bunch of mafious, druggies, thiefs and all other kind of related criminals in congress. Poor little Italy. Anyone can be accused of something. How many have been "convicted" for the crimes of which they were accused? That'll tell the real story. Hell, I guessed it right away! After all, they are politicians! The cream of the crap! What about Sylvio Berlusconi? The ex Italian PM, who was up to his ears in business fraud, run for pm while being a media baron, winning, and either changing the law retrospectively to make his fraud legitimate, and granting himself absolution, or claiming parliamentary privilege. He finished in 2006. Now he's Italy's richest man, with reported assent of over $11 Billion dollars. I have thought While people often enter politics to effect social reform, they are seduced by the institutional manner of thinking, which can negate blame. They also become hamstrung by party policy, and factional fighting-but the pay is great, not to mention the tips.(insider trading?) Can Rupert the Fox, run for President ? The cream of the crap!I like that. |
