Thanks for posting this, adds some insight as to what all the squabbling is about, doesn't it? Saved and POPPED I wonder when DAFKA will support the establishment of nation-states for the Navajo, Cherokee, Sioux, etc. in North America with proper boundaries and occupied lands, and which will send out settlers who will live on land stolen from Europeans. The Native American Indians lost their battles years ago. They know this and so does the rest of the world. Sad, but true. But the ancient Israeli kingdom--the one that DAFKA uses to deny any Palestinian claim to land--was conquered 2,700 years ago. So you could also say "The Israelites lost their battles thousands of years ago. They know this and so does the rest of the world. Sad, but true." Then why are the Jews still there? The American Indian tribes were displaced and scattered to the four winds, ending up on reservations. Seems that if the outcome 2,700 years ago was as you suggest for the Jews, then they would not still be living in the same place...but they are. It's misleading to say that Jews are "still" in Israel, implying that their presence has being a continuation from the biblical era. In fact, most Jews in Israel are either foreign-born or descendents of Jews who emigrated in the 19th and 20th centuries. Native Americans really are "still here" though. Truth is truth no matter what you or a thousand people say to the contrary. The land was given to Israel. God's promise is tied to the land. Muslims trace their history back to to Abraham but believe that Ishmael, and not Isaac was the child of promise, entitling them to take it. Israel ceased to be a nation for almost 2,000 years- a nation with Land that is...but following Hitler's reign of terror, the Jews were given a parcel of land- basically a swamp that no one wanted- and became a nation on their own land again. This is a promise and a sign of the end times that has been fulfilled. aside from all that- I don't think they should be fighting in the way that they have been.
