adamc says: That's some serious money, looks like the age of e-paper may actually be near. From Plastic Logic's site... "The thinness, lightness and robustness enabled by the flexibility of Plastic Logic’s displays will, at last, enable electronic reader products that are as comfortable and natural to read as paper whether at the beach, in a train or relaxing on the sofa at home." I have to admit, I hoped this technology would be much further along by now considering how long ago I first learned about it. E-Paper had working prototypes almost 10 years ago if my memory is correct. That said, I finally got to see sony's e-reader at Digital Life. It was pretty damn sexy. The letters were crystal clear and it sipped from the battery just enough to change the page when needed, and then shut back down. If Interested in monitoring this technology visit my website from time to time www.flexeworld.com. I just started it ... and will soon give it a major overhall as the interest is really growing in this. Regards flexeworld Very cool -- love the widget you set up on your site. I really love it when a clip motivates people to join Clipmarks and add to the knowledge base. Welcome flexeworld. |
