I suppose by that logic, IRAQ should be the safest place on the planet.

Not really, because the culture is such that martyrs for the cause are a GOOD thing, so there is no fear of the gun.

The REAL Napster
Guns are not the main death instrument used by the insurgents these days. They seem to prefer beheadings and mutilations via car bombs or vests.

Some missing information at the source:

Kennesaw's law was amended in 1983 to exempt those who conscientiously
object to owning a firearm, convicted felons, those who cannot afford a
firearm, and those with a mental or physical disability that would
prevent them from owning a firearm.

More
significantly, perhaps, the city's crime rate increased by 15.7 percent
immediately after the gun ban, even though the overall crime rate in
Cook County rose only 3 percent.
Morton Grove is a relatively safer town in the Cook County, in fact it is one of the more upscale (read rich) suburbs. The comparision is totally ridiculous.

2500 plus diggs on this story only tells me that the crowed on the internet is only reactive. Now someone also tell me the difference between corporate media feeding reactive news to the public and these so-called user-generated sites gathering reactive and sentimental numbers without any substance.
