That is the funniest picture - plopped down on his head. The squirrels at the park here in Boston Common are so used to being around people. They aren't afraid of anything. In fact, I get the impression we're invading their turf when I stroll through the park.

Yeah, i know what you mean..the little critters on Bear Island in Alaska where we used to have a cabin would take over the place if we didn't squirrel proof it diligently...very friendly and fascinating to watch but very territorial. we lived and let live.

I'm glad he decided to give the little guy a chance.

He's so cute, we don't have squirrels over here in Australia, except in the zoo of course.

I love this as I have 3 here who feel the same way and are eating me out of house and home on peanut butter cookies I buy them.They are sweet creatures and My wife and I just adore them.We also have tame cardinals and bluebirds.

My parents used to have a little squirrel come into their apt., climb on the table and eat the butter. When he was finished, he'd jump off the table, run up to my dad and wipe his little mouth on the cuff of my dad's pants.
