This would be laughable if it did not result in animal death.
I've seen "the running of the bulls" in Spain and there are always people maimed or killed. This "running" is initiated by the people, as are the Bullfights.

Pardon me if this clip sounds like a desperate defense for continuing a barbaric practice. (the tip-offs are "our brave young men" and "Toro". In a true stampede how could the bulls tell the young from the old; the men from the women, etc.

I think that the Onion is belittling the Spaniards for justifying the senseless, brutal bullfights, kk. The Onion's satire is so well done, and is so grounded in truth, that it is easy to miss the fact that it is satire.
