No, no, no Harry Reid, you bastards do not speak for me!!!! What you have done is completely against my will.
Harry Reid, who leads the Democratic majority in the senate, said on Thursday following that vote: "Our resolution reflects the will of the state of Israel and the will of the American people."

WHAT!! This is amazing! Congress has done something I support?? Way to go. (this is spooky)

Awwww... the suffering of the Palestinians people. Well, rise up!! and say 'no more!' and oust Hamas who you thought was going to bring you prosperity and freedom from oppression while they are the worst oppressors of all!

@jatfla - Why should the Palestinians rise up against Hamas? We have never been able to see exactly what a Hamas government would be like, what it would or would not do for the Palestinian people because of interference by the United States and Israel. Hamas the oppressor? Hamas is now killing Palestinians, bombing and starving them? Oh, it is to laugh you supporters of Zionist racism.

Hamas won an election and so far has only made life worse for the people of Gaza by continuing it's terrorist activities by lobbing bombs into Israel, sending suicide bombers into Israel and using Palestinian women and children as human shields.

I find it hard to believe that anyone with internet access hasn't bothered to look up the Hamas crimes that have been perpetrated for years against Israel.

lsadago1 and jatfla - Sometimes we create our own monsters and Hamas is a monster created by Zionists and the West through their victimization of Palestinians: denying their humanity, stealing their land and Murdering. But when Palestinians cry out and fight back they become the bad people: so sad but true. Perhaps they would have your sympathies if they were Ghandi-like and sat silent while the IDF beat them on the head. This conflict was created by Zionist racists denying the humanity of people because they craved their land. Zionism = racism. There are JEWS who agree with this, who know this, who understand the root cause. It's all about cause and effect: Zionism is the cause, Hamas is th...

"For all I know Hamas is just a tool of a larger Islamist agenda and I am no fan of Islamists as I am no fan of Zionism: they are two peas in the same pod of human suffering."

But if you defend them, shouldn't you know? Decrying one group over another without understanding?

Israel is surrounded by countries and peoples that hate them and wish to deprive then of their right to exist. Is this right? No. Israel is a recognized country. They gave Gaza over to the Palestinians who elected Hamas as their leaders. If Hamas has been lobbing bombs and sending suicide bombers into the country of Israel, they either started a war or they are terrorists.

Think of it this way: If Mexico clai...

There is none so blind as those who will not see. The Palestinian people *could* have a country/province with representation. At one time (perhaps now) the Arab population was a part of the Knesset.

As long as old grudges are held and Hamas is intent on obliterating the Jews, there is no hope for the *regular* Palestinian people...especially since they have been propagandized from birth to believe that Israel is the scourge and deserving of annihilation.

Sorry, I'm not going to engage in a futile intellectual exercise. I support the Palestinian people and they have the right to choose their own leaders as they did in a free and fair election , that was called for by Bush. Palestinians voted for Hamas because they were tired of Fatah's political corruption and ineffectiveness. Palestinians had only two choices, Fatah and Hamas, just like in the U.S. there are only two viable parties, Republican and Democratic. After years of Fathah, a majority of Palestinians, Muslim and Christian, decided to try Hamas on for size hoping that, to paraphrase Sheryl Crow, [i] a change...

As far as opening my mind, for most in the US, our whole lives we've been spoon fed and swallowed whole propaganda about the State of Israel. My eyes have been opened, slowly at first and then wide open when I read The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine, by Illan Pape and when I met and befriended Palestinians. I recommend that book to both of you.

I refuse to return to the world of lies where, with glee, Palestinians are shamed and turned into the "other,".
