How bad do you want things to be?

Since when are tattoos used to measure our success in the war? It's pretty easy to find any negative news story and claim it proves that we are failing.

It is much easier to find stories of failure than of success!

Yeah, Cheney's argument that we're succeeding is that there's now an "elected government" in Iraq. Never mind that the government can't even control the streets of the capital city and is in bed with the militias. Never mind that we all know al-Maliki can't survive without the US military propping him up, and that Bush has already threatened to abandon him. Cheney actually expects people to believe that because this debacle was preceded by an election, it represents success.

Oh, right, plus Saddam's dead. Yeah, that really solved a lot of problems.

Some people now tattoo telephone numbers on their arms, so if they are killed their families can be contacted...can't even imagine their day to day life!

One negative story does not denote that their haven't been successes in the war....

That's why I said; How bad do you want things to be.
It is a war ! Things are always bad in war. But give a materialist one bad story and you have a failure, give them a success and they have an illegal war, give them a U.S. victory in Iraq and Bush is a fascist dictator.

We're just dealing here with people that have not grown up.

Where's the success and where's the victory?

Things are bad in war? I thought Bush-Cheney said we would be greeted with Roses? What the hell do Bush-Cheney know about war? They did everything possible to keep their asses out of war when they had chances to be defenders of the American way.

They are still taking volunteers to age 42. How strong are your convictions?

Lots of success, each and every day. Clouded over by roadside bombings from cowards who hide behind the burkas of women and blow up remote bombs using explosives given to the insurgents compliments of Iran.

The police and military of Iraq ARE getting to the point where they can go it alone. The government IS getting to where they can control the country. But don't think you'll see that story in the Washington Times. Only negative. Doom and Gloom sell lots of papers.

That's hilarious UpStateMike. I think you meant to say Washington Post but I think you rarely know what you are saying anyhow.

Provide us some examples, what are the benchmarks of success that have been met or exceeded?

UpStateMike, Did you know there is a block comments feature. I myself do not block any comments, but BobbyRutan's comments are of such ignorance and low quality I thought I would give you a heads up.

I'll be darned is it finally going to happen that you give up debating. Must be frustrating that you can't just shout people down like Bill O'Reilly or cut someone off the phone like Rush.

Far more frequently I see those who argue against Bush=Cheney's ridiculous war actually quoting names of the government officials invovlved in the situation and having a grasp of history. All I would like to see are some examples of the successes he is alluding to (not just for me, for all of us). You go to UpStateMike's profile and he says if you want to debate you better be ready to roll

I'll never block anybody from commenting on my Clips.
