My definition of hell would be "eternity with religious fanatics".

Ironically, the god these fanatics love doesn't love anybody- they bitch about everybody and how they're all going to hell for one reason or another. The only ones who make the cut are assholes like them who hate everyone else. No wonder I'm an atheist.

A motive that is rarely brought up is the Christians real fear of losing their privileged status. As our society becomes more diverse there is a panic that has taken hold of the Christian Right as they see their influence eroding day by day. No longer are people satisfied to adhere to a rigid outdated philosophy that may have been appropriate for the iron age but certainly does not address a vastly more complicated world that we face today.
