Fed govt lobbyist money banned from DNC fundraising; freedom from influence of Washington insiders sought

Just to add some balance to this story, the DNC doesn't raise a whole lot of money from PACs and Lobbyists anyway. They raised ~$50,000 this year and the DNC (and the Obama campaign) is free to take money from lobbyists who are not involved with the federal government, spouses and other family members of lobbyists.

But a good start to rid politics of special interests nonetheless.

It's encouraging just to hear a front runner acknowledge special interest money..

Its a beginning.
