According to the article they do feel that the bible has become emasculated! The also want to:

So the end result would be a a bible more closely relating to conservative hatred for the rest of the world.

It's been a long time coming. I've always said that the weakest part of the religious debate are the inconsistencies, contradictions, and the false information in the bible. I wonder if they'll take the opportunity to clean that up so they don't look so ignorant and stupid trying to push their mythology? Given a generation or two people will accept the thing as non violate.

I think not. They are not interested in maintaining historic accuracy. They will want to word it in such a way as to give them more authority over people today. There is that embarrassing problem of trying to control people using the cliff notes of bronze age goat herders. I'm sure they'll want to remove as much ambivalence as they can.
