Most educated people know that global warming is a misnomer. There are parts of the world that will cool while warming happens elsewhere. The key is to keep the oceanic conveyor belt stable so our climate remains fairly constant.

Next, the scientists conducted statistical tests and found that the spatial patterns of observed impacts closely match temperature trends across the globe, to a degree beyond what can be attributed to natural variability.
