In Iran we don't have homosexuals
I think they cut it off at the first homosexual thought! As far as gay women - well women don't matter anyhow.

Seriously, he is a guest in our country and he should be offered hospitality. Maybe we could hold off on some of the arrogance.

When I was young, I was tolerant with homos. I learnd better, because when a homo does you any good, 85% of them lower their pants, to recieve some reward.

They are an important vector of corruption - nothing easier than to bribe a homo.

They may live their private lives, but they should stay out of deciding jobs, like in police, administration and so on.

Oh, sorry, but that is what I think.

Switzerland, xenophobia is rising.

Just love those self proclaimed christians like Erik Schiegg.

Erik's from Switzerland. You see quite a few articles about the rise of intolerance growing in Switzerland these days.

I think Erik's a fine example of that sorry trend.

I am glad Erick spoke out, so I know he exists .... If I was walking down the street holding hands with someone he didn't like, I would not know he was there and he or someone like him, could beat me up in the alley way .... I love bigotry when it is out there in the open... under the proverbial sheet is so much scarier.

and by the way Erick, being nice to straight men is no fun either...you smile and say hello and automatically they drop their pants and want to have sex with you.
(slather on gallons of irony, sarcasm here....)

Back at the ranch, I saw that part of Ahmadinejad's speech on TV, and the entire audience laughed instantaneously...it was very funny.
The religious leaders in Iran seem to be playing a really weird game of baiting the foreigners with Ahmadinejad's anti-Holocaust rhetoric, while they are selling the Iranians propaganda on their goodness in protecting Jews by showing them documentaries of how they saved Iranian Jews during WWII.

Oh Erick...are ya afraid that if they drop their pants you could not, you know "help yourself"? Maybe do a quick Ted Haggard but without the meth? Your right, sex does lead to corruption, just ask the mistresses of all those European politicians.

The astonishing thing is the cheers he recieved for his defense of the death penalty for homosexuals. Did anyone happen to hear the entire speech. The IDIOT students actually cheered for him when he completed his defense of ridding society of homosexuals or 'bad influences'.

Is the entire speech on youtube Willhelm? I'd like to see it.

I don't know. I heard most of it with translations on the radio.
This was actually a funny incident. I will explain..

Ahmedinijad was questioned about this issue of oppressing homosexuals. Ahmadinjad then denied that such phenomenon exists. However, he did not stop there. He want on to discuss Irans institution of the death penalty and it's use in eradicating "bad influences" on society.

It was at that point the audience abrupted with cheers. They did however semm perplexed about what Ahmedinijad was saying.

Erick, you may have symptoms of a mental illness. In particular, the martyr complex. Also, Ahmadinejad is an idiot for first claiming there are no gays in Iran and then also claiming to be a man of science. A scientist would know that the stats for homosexuality are fairly consistent across the globe. There are simply 4-10% closeted people in Iran.

A very good report. He burns the professor pretty good.
And then has more knowledge of what is going on in
the world, then that of Bush. He even knows the folly
of nuclear war. Too bad Bush and Cheney cant see
that.

debbyski, this guy lost me completely today with his denial of homosexuals (if he was ever holding me for one bit). As I have said earlier somewhere, Iranians have elected a fool just like Americans. These leaders with powers are simply in denial of reality, and media is obviously nuts over crazies. The guy is not even worth following anywhere let alone a reputable university hosted him for any talk. This is where people should be ignoring versus a protest or reception of any kind.

dmegivern, You make the ignorance and intolerance so persisitent at Clipmarks look not so ignorant and intolerant. Thank-you. You are a whole new level of hate. The stats you cite are only "consistent" for liars.
9-25-2007 2:24 PM
arifsali
And you wait and see how quick conservative crazies come to his aide just because he may happen to agree with them on this homosexual issue. The same people who condemned the gays for 9/11 will be nodding in agreement.
9-25-2007 3:18 PM
willhelm
Arifsali, that is funny and strange way to maintain your paradigm. To compare the actions of a handful of people that call themselves a church to an entire wing of political thought? Oh well, whatever you need to do to justify your beliefs, I guess.

I agree they are the same. However, you are comparing a bath tub to the Pacific ocean.

Thanks. Understand me right: I'm not homophobe. I'm not afraid of homosexual people. But I have a homotaxis. Where I can't change people, I withdraw and do my own thing. Wheter you like it or not, I'm not the kind of person beating down a homo for being homo. But there is a danger within this lust principle of some straight and many homosexual people. You mut be able to master your instincts without letting them die away. If not so, you are just a nutshell driven by your bodys cries for empty fulfilling.

When your body obeys you, you can even more enjoj sexuality, as a really freed person.

First, you are implying that homosexuals are..."lustful" (whatever that means) or at least more so than heterosexuals, with nothing to back it up, except perhaps common media stereotypes of homosexuality. And just because you don't believe in beating people down, doe snot mean you are except from being prejudice and or bigoted.

OMG, what is a homotaxi? Would it be a taxi that has strobe colored lights and a dance floor? If so, I am there on Saturday night dancing with my friends. Alanocu, please baby, flag me one down!

lol, you guys. Erik seems to be converging all his thoughts in one place, I can understand his "thought" portrayed in last paragraph above but it is misplaced here.

There are people who carries issues with "orientation" and "preference". The smart ones are those who can find the difference between the two, because there is a big, big difference.
9-25-2007 9:48 PM

To compare the actions of a handful of people
wilhelm, are you telling me that those who condemn gays and blame them for 9/11 and many other problems, are handful?
9-25-2007 11:25 PM
WGAnderson
There are no gays in Iran because they are all dead or left at the threat of death. Those left wear robes and are in power. Now let's get serious here and look at the real issues. Why do we always put the gay issue up front? It is always a smokescreen to hide the real problems of cruelty, poverty, and oppression. Those in power are afraid to address their own issues for fear of being found out.
Get Real!

I am saying relatively non-existent. however, I'm certain that the whatever few there may be would get an exponentially disproportionate amount of press as it relates to a mainstream view.

(This may have already been stated)

Iran denies they have a gay population because it's punishable by death and this, which clipped from a Julie Bindel article.

"During the debate I argued that sex change surgery is modern-day aversion therapy treatment for homosexuals. The highest number of sex change operations take place in Iran, where homosexuality is punishable by death. Sex change surgery, therefore, renders gays and lesbians "heterosexual"."

OMG, for sure, Michellezm! And since we are all in the dreaded homotaxi, I'll play the gayest dance song I could find on youtube:

And we'll both take turns dancing with Alanocu!
You wanna join us Zazel?

A taxi is the «moving away from a bad influence». The term was originally used in the biology of plants.

As I told you : When I was younger, I tolerated and respected homosexuals. But by theirs own acts this positive image was destroyd.

And now there are some people expecting me to lie, to say homos are alright. No, they're not.

debbyski
Good grief Eric! Well, that is your opinion and you are entitled to it, but I don't agree. And, more importantly, deep down most Americans are fair and tolerant people. Let me just say a few positive things that gays and lesbians have done: Contributions to American music, famous and popular faces in the entertainment world, artists, writers, professional sports, and even political leaders. So that's the reason most people would not agree with you Eric, our world would be a lot poorer without all the contributions gays and lesbians have made to the world.

In animal biology, "taxis" is a reaction that occurs at a level even more fundamental than instinct. One example is the ability of a cat to right itself when falling, or fear of heights in newborn humans.

It's not true that cats always land on their feet. When I throw one of mine across the room, a certain twist of the wrist makes him land on his head every time.

Some of my bestest friends in the whole wide world are gay. Luv 'em to death.

Anyways! Debbyski! Is that really the gayest song you know?? I think this one is gayer.

It has to be a tie between these two songs TN:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=8tJ09XhaB4E&feature=related
And of course:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=LrBmu5B6Tww

A little bit of trivia, as far as I know only two singers in the Village People were actually gay. The indian Felipe Rose and cowboy Rancy Jones. Rose was discovered by Jacques Morali when he worked as a dancer in gay bars in New York.
Save the last dance for me, eh babe? *LOL*
That's ok TN! I'll probably dance in circles around you
