sahara says: This is an overwhelming endorsement for one, Rudy G., by the same opportunist that wrote the Ron Paul smear recently. Look at the votes in Iowa and New Hampshire, Paul beat Rudy in one and even AFTER the smear campaign was one percent behind him in NH. Consider the source. Here is another article: http://gays-for-ron.blogspot.com/2008/01/jamie-kirchick-i-dont-think-ron-paul-is.html A gay republican always seemed like an oxymoron to me. What have either party done to advance the rights of gays? This is where you should look. How many states allow gay marriage? MA was the first and only one, and that was with Romney, a republican governor. Look at all of the states where democrats are running the government, what have they done? This is another issue where actions and policy trumps party, which in my opinion, is how things should be looked at. If you take the candidates individually, look at their records, and actions, then look for CONSISTENCY in those, things become a lot clearer. But do we have to have such a flagrant militarist in order to get civil rights? Giuliani is Bush times two in swagger and confrontationalism. He'd get people killed. |
