This article immediately struck a chord, even though I am not female ... my wife is, and we recently had our 2nd child.

She was not fired, but peer pressure -particularly from *female* coworkers- has her working crazy (beyond legal limits hours), and in a tough "buyers' market" (jobs are scarce), it is "unwise" to comment about the fact.
