Despite most of what they say and spout, they *know* that pulling out of Iraq soon is impossible. Any of them, as President, would not do it. And yet they continue to insinuate differently.

What bothers me about their ideas mentioned in the article, is that by minimizing our force there, we endanger them and make them a more easy force to overcome and defeat. If I were an American soldier serving, I would want 100 soldiers with me, not 10.

John Edwards, the former North Carolina senator, would keep troops in the region to intervene in an Iraqi genocide and be prepared for military action
So a "President Edwards" - may God spare us from such a catastrophe - would leave a few troops behind to witness the genocide CAUSED by his foolish pull-out.

What... an...idiot.

The foolishness was caused by the lies and ineptitude of president Bush. And his only course of action is to keep the few that are fighting. To stay until we win or they die.

The other course he has is calling up the draft. So we can escalate into world war 3. You guys really got good plans.

There is no 'good' plan and definitely not an easy one. For the instant-fixers, there isn't one. It's a long-haul; but it could be made shorter if there was a 100% commitment to seeing that the insurgents, al-Qaeda, and the Iranian movement into Iraq were either destroyed or their power/influenced minimized. And the politics of the Iraqi government must be worked out for ultimate stability.
