                has sparked a veritable chorus of eulogies depicting him as the epitome of objectivity and
                the greatest of journalists. This is all coming, quite naturally, from his fellow
                journalists and intellectual gatekeepers, who share his prejudices, his politics, and
                – alas! – his shortcomings.
