To be fair, most of these are the result of unhappy employees. On the same note, it doesn't matter how happy the employees are, the sandwich will never look as good as the advertisement. Anyway, in a prior life I was somewhat of a fast food conasoir (sorry if i spelled that wrong). The point is that I've been to a couple of each of these fast food chains where the food was as good as advertised and almost as good looking. I've also been to more than a few where the food was much much worse than what is pictured in this clip!

Fast food /= pretty food

I feel quite sorry for the roast beef and cheddar....totally deflated...someone eat it already.

I have also always been fascinated by how big the difference is in the ads and the real thing. They never look nothing like it to me. Thanks for this. I loved it and sent it to several people.

You know, there are people who make their livelihood just making mediocre food look good for commercials and whatnot. The butterball turkey is actually frozen in the middle, cooked on the outside with an upholstery steamer.

But ya know, it IS called FAST food, and anyone who's ever met a woman knows two things: beauty takes time, and you get what you pay for.

KJ... back a short time and already I see you're trying to detract credibility from my clips.

The point is, if they took a picture of the actual product for commercials, I doubt the impact would be very positive.

This can go for every single picture on every single food packaging. The picture ALWAYS looks better than the real thing. That's what us marketers get paid for.

If I weren't cocky, I wouldn't be me. I know my thoughts don't usually correspond to reality. I live in my own little world and I'm definitely ok with it.

haha this is wicked. photographing food is a very difficult task - especially making it look appetizing. which is why i wasn't surprised when i first saw a documentary a few years ago that showed how fast food companies use plastic neon-green lettuce and painted tomatoes to make their meals look so mouth-watering in commercials and print media

Oh man! Now I find out that I've always been served by "unhappy employees" and evidently they "unhappier" than the ones making the food for these pictures.

Boy, am I ever hungry now!

That clip made me hungry also.....but it is so true but the food sometimes is still good. Yea!

My wife always complains about the restaurants doing this she worked at burger king at one time and said if you saw the way they made that stuff you would never eat it,i had bypass surgery in 2001 and i don't eat any of that any more and have lost 230 lbs so i know what that crap does to you IF it looks that bad IT sure ain't that good those pics are great.

You know like three days ago i was watching some tv and i saw this Mcdonald's Commercial. It was about the Breakfast chicken sandwich. When i got it one day, i opened it up and the chicken was BURNT. It looked like doo doo in a biscuit. YUCK!
