This is all good advice Dark, but I think it is important to emphasize that all attacks cannot be prevented. As someone who was raped, I have to tell you that the guilt one suffers from thinking there must have been something I did wrong or didn't I fight enough or, or, or, is just terrible. But having said all of that, I think it's always good to be aware of your circumstances in general.

It's true, this advice is mostly for a situation where a stranger tries to isolate you from a safe place by force or deceit.
