A million leave California alone to seek affordable care in Mexico. But no US hospital treats even 75 Canadians in a year.

Not to mention cheap medicines. As for the defensiveness, it's the fear of "Socialism".

We've already debunked that as staged, Jay. They took the most oblique route, in the most unlikely scenario, with actors playing the parts. If if that fantasy were true, it is a situation that is unindicitive of Canadian Healthcare.

Yes, Americans deserve Socialized medicine, especially since people are dying daily due to the shortfalls of the American Healthcare system. 100 million people uninsured or underinsured. Lifetime maximums. Huge co-pays and deductibles. You call that a public service? It's the world's biggest scam!

Where is the proof this was debunked? I would like to see it especially since I have met many Canadians who personally told me they came to the U.S. for medical treatment because of the long delays in the Canadian system.

The biggest scam is to tell us that ObamaCare will come to us without taxing our grandchildren with the bill.

The most unaffordable system there is is the one we have now, which is skyrocketing in cost. Our grandchildren won't be able to afford it at all, unless it is dramatically changed.

Meanwhile, industry profits are up 450% since 2001, and our premiums are up 85%. Most of us are one layoff or one serious illness away from being un-insured. 18,000 of us die prematurely every year from inadequate health care. And 94% of the insurance companies operate virtually without competition in their regions.

An optional public insurance plan offers savings of billions of dollars...

The ones crossing to the US are the ones with more money than sense, that are unwilling to wait a couple of months for elective, medically-unnecessary surgeries and treatments, or ones that haven't been proven safe yet by the Canadian Medical Association.

Jay, you obviously attract friends who are like you; lacking in common sense and don't appreciate the value of money. Far more Americans come to Canada for medical care than Canadians going to the US; more by a factor of at least hundreds, if not thousands.

The US Healthcare System favours only the rich and the lucky. It utterly fails those that need it the most; all the more reason to dismantle the whole corrupt system and ...
