The article is hilarious in it's bias, though in fairness I do not think the writer pretends to be neutral. Still, it is so petty and outlandish in it's assertions.

That said, I think this dude his given me a reason to vote for John McCain.

The American people support it so passionately!?!?!?
LOL...

This guy doesn't get out much does he?

The UN is an organization that allows the wolves to vote on what's for dinner whilst standing inside the chicken coop...

Does John McCain have a "hidden agenda" to "kill the UN?"
I can only hope. This is the first thing I've heard that excites me.

The REAL Napster
The 'nations' are no longer 'united' So the very title of the organization is without meaning.

Exactly, if honesty and integrity were prerequisites for membership in that horrendous organization, then the whole UN could eat out at Denney's without a reservation.

I doubt too that the majority of Americans support the UN, I actually think the majority thinks we should withdraw from it.

So McCain has decided to build up an innocuous-sounding alternative called a "League of Democracies." It would be an alliance of countries the US labels democratic that can be used to legitimate US military actions
While I agree on the get out of the UN part, I cannot see a need for this "League of Democracies" to "legitimate" our military actions, can't we just go by what our Constitution says!

I love it that the author's real goal is a "parliament of man" where everybody just votes for their free choice (which their national governments will not influence or pre-ordain) and we all join in kumbyatiness and harmony all the ding-dong day.

McCain cannot oppose the UN outright -- because the American people support it so passionately.
I have to disagree, at best the UN might get lukewarm support in the US but certainly not passionate support.
