Do we really need to know all those neurons, protons, transmitters, transponders and how they interact with each other? Not scientists, but us - mortal dumb readers. They even didn't agree between themselves, what they trashing our heads with all this crap for?

Well, since I have my PhD in psychology and social work, I guess I have learned all of these terms. And, I am a published social scientist. As far as I am concerned they have done a decent job so far with developing the numerous medications that I need to take for my mental health. Without them, I think it is likely I would have been either like my brother who committed suicide or my parents who were often dealing with periods of incapacitation.
