Prohibition didn't work. There are Billions of dollars in trade generated by anti drug legislation. Because 'drug money' has been given negative associations, particularly regarding pharmaceutical companies tactics. anyone with 'money,' who wants to make money from drugs has to appear to have 'clean hands' Where does that money end up?
The Primary responsibility of the DEA, is to make sure the money stays in the country, in 'safe' hands.
