A relatively small town in California--compared to Dallas--backed down as result of these tactics by the despicable ACLU because they couldn't afford the court costs, even though, in reality, those costs would be dwarfed by the actual costs of Illegal immigration to the community. Maybe Dallas will have the guts and funds to stand up to them. NBC doing a puff piece on illegal immigration right now. Farmer's Branch, the suburb in question, intends to stand tall I believe. They are gonna put the measure up on ballot soon. It is VERY supported and if passed the ACLU can't do crap. They're case right now is mostly about violating some public meeting law..... they say these "white" city legislators acted without getting the community involved. Ballot measures haven't immunized Cali from tyranny from the bench. Ah, but we don't have the Ninth Circuit. Gloating is bad form, Mr Smith sorry, but it's true I'm glad to see that there are still communities with backbone in the Lone Star state. I'm going to clip this other resolution by the good people of Farmer's Branch: http://www.ci.farmers-branch.tx.us/Communication/Resolution 2006-130.html |
