Ah beautiful Brisbane, Australia's most liveable city (so a sign says somewhere). I spent my first 21 years here. It's such a pleasant place to grow up. Good people, stunning weather and nature. When I was born it was still very much an oversized provincial town, but it's truly become a metropolitan hub now. I love it!

Maybe I'll get to AU someday. That would be a treat.

I'd like to go down under someday too; I hear the water goes down the drain anti-clockwise and that loos flush the same way? That would be cool to see.

The popularity of the "Clipmarks Truck" and "My place on Clipmarks" threads, got me to thinking...
You know, what all this really calls for is a global Clipmarks tour. We could rock the Bosphorus (Turkey), dive Down Under (Australia), inspect the gentry's kilts in Nova Scotia (Canada), etc. The possibilities are endless. As Clipmarks grows in user base and global recognition, airlines & travel agencies worldwide will be lining up to sponsor all travel aspects.

Naturally, I've thought this through and realized that this would require individuals able to commit time to such a rigorous task. I hereby volu...

You are 100% right Geekette!

I am TOTALLY down -- especially the down under leg of the tour. I guess we'll have to ready the plane and the SS Clipmarks. Oh man, I'm getting excited already!

Excellent; I hadn't seen those two clips you linked yet! The marketing groundwork is definitely on the right path. Clippity-clip-clip!

Who needs to join the military to see the world?! (Remember those advertisements, right before they decided to advertise their paying-for-college abilities?). I am SO in, as long as there's a strong European branch of the tour, including Ireland, England (London mostly), France (that's right, the Medi beaches), and Italy.

adamc, another spectacular city. I've never seen/been there, but it looks just as incredible as Melbourne and Sydney. It's hard to imagine how good convicts were in the past Seriously - great shots of what looks like a very nice place. I'm assuming it's as clean and Melbourne and Sydney? It was one thing that struck me when I was there, how clean everything was (maybe I just saw the good parts)... because this was about 15 years after Italy and as beautiful as Italy was - it was very dirty. Australia struck me as an incredible mixture of Victorian and modern architecture, with very friendly people (who had a hard time understanding me (damn Russian accent) and actually the first day...

Sage...Did you know a lot of us have short attention spans? I stopped reading after the first two sentences. Why use 50 words when 15 will suffice? Felicity of expression, my friend.

If you read the first word, kristenjo, you'd see that it was meant for adamc... as for why use 50 words - that's too philosophical to get into here, besides is off the topic... oops, I think I exceeded 15 words here.

Fifty and 15 were figurative numbers. You underestimate my intelligence. And nothing's too philosophical for me. I've spent eight years studying philosophy. As for the comment's being for Adam, my comments weren't so much pointed at that particular comment as the numerous others you've posted that were too long for one comment box. The 2000 character limit is rather generous, as this wasn't meant for extended dissertation. I wasn't trying to offend you. It was a friendly jab. Lighten up and stop looking down your nose.

Not philosophy exclusively (I'm only 22, about to get a bachelor's in Philosophy), but more or less. I went to a classical high school.

kristenjo, I'm NOT underestimating your intelligence, I've hardly exchanged 2 words with you, so how could I be? The philosophical statement was a joke, since usually getting philosophical would mean getting wordy, which you were trying to tell me not to, so I joked about it. It was for Adam because he's from Australia and I very much liked the country and wanted to tell him, simply to be nice (to him) As for writing 'dissertations'... well, you see I'm uneducated (i.e. I don't have a 4-year piece of paper) and therefore... Unless you're the official spokesperson for Clipmarks - the service, or a censor - it's still a free country... Finally, I never look down my nose, if you must know.

Sorry, Sage. That was totally bitchy and reactionary on my part. I've had way too many people treat me like I'm an idiot lately, so I'm on the defense (which in my personality means offensive counter-attack). I really mean no disrespect. I'm sorry.

My apologies for the rudeness, Adam.

It's like they say...friends don't let friends clip angry. Er, never let the sun go down on your clipmarks... or somethin' or other.

No worries KJo
* humming the chorus of "Never Let the Sun Go Down on Your Clipmarks"... oh this is going to be a hit...
