I keep feeling like people aren't wanting to talk about the elephant in the room.

While some industry people are saying we've reached maximum oil production, others are saying there's still more oil to be found to meet increased demand.

What they aren't considering is that most of the world today is under-developed. As these developing nations grow, oil usage is going to grow exponentially like nothing we've ever seen before.

Instead of figuring out how to make oil cheaper, we need to find new energy sources that can pick up the slack.

I unfortunately don't think we'll ever replace oil, but if oil can become just one of many options that maybe makes up less than 10 or 20% of energy consumption, we'd be on the right track.
