masbury says: "behold the mob stalking" It is Jeremiah Wright who is a Black Liberation Theology racist who provokes a response. Are you seriously suggesting if we do not like Obama or Wright we are racists? It is surprising that a minister such as yourself should defend Wright or his errant "theology". And exactly what is errant in his theology? And exactly what comment suggests he is a racist? Martin Marty, U of Chicago professor of religion, and arguably the most distinguished in the USA, finds Wright well within the mainstream theologically, and insists that being pro-black is not akin to being anti-white. No, I'm not suggesting those who disagree with Obama or Wright are racists. I clipped a thought-provoking piece that studies how the Clinton campaign is systematically shining its spotlights on issues that they know will provoke racial anger among many white middle-class voters. See The Race Chasm and the Clinton firewall. I didn't hear about this through any "Clinton machine" because I read nothing that has anything to do with either one of them. That said, I'm grateful that this *preacher* of hate has been exposed. I had no idea that such a large segment of black Americans view the rest of us in such deplorable ways. I see him promoting his own brand of racism with his "Liberation Theology" which really is no theology at all...or at least in the traditional sense. It feeds the victimization complex that is so prominent in our society. And he shouldn't be talking too badly about "rich" people seeing as he's about to move into a multi-million dollar home. How naive I've been, believing so much progress h... I ask again: And exactly what is errant in his theology? And exactly what comment suggests he is a racist? Perhaps you've heard sixty seconds of comments out of a lifetime of productive, conciliatory ministry. No preacher would pass that test. |
