Sept 11th, 2001 wasn't enough of a wake up call for them it seems. Wait till the next one hits, it's going to be a doozy. The enemies of America are celebrating right now and calculating thier next moves, which will be bolder due to increased confidence. After all, if the mighty U.S. military can't stop them who can?
