rmowery says: Ok - I am all for alternative energy. Believe me, if I can get this personal windmill to clear local zoning, it is going up. But the problem I see is now three-fold. First there needs to be funding to get this stuff out of prototypes and into mass production with a very low entry cost for consumers. Second - some type of tax breaks and government assistance is needed to allow everyone to convert, since people will not be able to afford even new hybrid cars - if they are working min. wage jobs. Third - new jobs and job training need to be put in place, since not only is our dependence on oil via consumption, there are many jobs that key off of this. I would love to see it all happen next year - but I don't think it will occur until 2020. |
