Smokey Robinson, guest Judge at American Idol, was impressed. The audience, spellbound. A hushed silence followed as finalist Adam Lambert finished singing “Tracks of My Tears” on Wednesday’s Motown-themed competition. The silence was broken by a thundering applause from the audience as well as the judges, and Smokey Robinson rose to his feet.
