Yes, should have kicked him when he didn't keep it safe on September 11th, 2001. Of course starting a war on false premise and creating more terrorists is hardly "keeping us safe"... Bush has been a boon to al Qaeda The remark about not keeping America safe before Sept. 11 is beyond ridiculous. Frankly, most of the rest is also. (strange that conservatives are accused of drinking the kool-aid.) I just find that this "pass the buck" mentality is common in this administration. I remember when they took the White House saying "the adults were back in charge". Well adults don't spend all their energy passing the buck. Who was president on Sept. 11th? And who did nothing when warned some months before? BTW, thank you jatfla for posting. Though we political types can get all riled up, it is good to keep touch with what others think and try to walk in their shoes no matter how much they may not fit Kept us safe how? By pooping all over the country? Who stonewalled the transition for weeks and months, who stalled on important/vital posts that needed to be filled, who tied the hands of the new Administration at every turn during those first 6 - 8 months? Indeed! The preceding Administration handed over a banquet table full of problems...both pressing and pending. Pass the buck, pass the buck. Richard Clarke showed that this administration was not interested. They didn't want to discuss it and were only interested in Iraq. And how one could blame Clinton for Bush ignoring the PDB on bin Laden is beyond me. That Clinton sure is powerful. Maybe he used is special super powers to make Bush ignore the memo that said "bin Laden determined to attack America." and "will hijack planes". I guess we don't live on the same planet...let alone the same Country. Complete and total opposite world views. I posted the clip because that's how I *see* it too. Thankfully we still don't blow each other up. My neighbor is just like you....and the nicest man. He tolerates me and mine. That's what makes America so great I think. ...Complete and total opposite world views. One of the things I like about the country we share. Some how we work together anyway. That's what makes America so great I think.I agree with you! Cheers. I can't say that is true, there is no evidence of that. Bravo, Jatfla! There's no talking to these morons who sound like a flock of talking parrots, all squalking the same lines that have been drummed into their poor sick brains by the liberal mainstream media. If Clinton had the gonads to take out bin laden when he was offered on a silver platter, there would have been no 9/11. No other man but President Bush would have had the clear vision, dedication, and courage to strike in the heart of the muslim beast, and take the battle to them. This nonsense about making more terrorists has been proven completely untrue. In fact, most of the muslim spiritual leaders who initially supported al qaeda, have now recanted and taken stands agressively a... Speaking from past experance, I have seen their handy work, from my point of view, there is no limit as to how low they will go to grab or remain in power. So, yes anything can happen if the black man gets elected. And I'm not talking about Shiites or Al Qaeda. There's no talking to these morons who sound like a flock of talking parrots...Now _there_ is some deep thinking. Speaking from past experance....I see things are descending into the depths of fear and are promoting ugliness. Kmcolo: Of course starting a war on false premise and creating more terrorists is hardly "keeping us safe"Really? In a strikingly upbeat assessment, the CIAlink That would be wonderful news, if true. But of course the course of events right after the invasion of iraq was the _strengthening_ of al Qaeda rather than the weakening. If true that they are weakening (unfortunitely history shows not to take such information at face value) then it is weakening from a position stronger than it would have had without the invasion of Iraq. |
