Yes that would have been unpleasant.

If you noticed, i put it into my "special" folder because it is a verse i've always loved. It's been a long time since i read the bible, but if i remember correctly Jesus was stopping his disciples from preventing children approaching him.

I put that in the folder simply because I love it. Just so you know, I don't like to discuss religion because too much fighting happens over it, and because my beliefs are my own.

I also love this verse. I am in agreement with Lolli that the disciples were trying to prevent Jesus from being "bothered" by the children and I feel like he was saying not to prevent them from coming to him for such was the kingdom of heaven.
To me that speaks of the sincerity of a child's faith.

a child's faith in what? The goodness of adults? trust? innocence? Or in The Lord? I really don't understand what is being said here.

If liking kids and wanting them to be allowed to come to him is all it is then ... blah.

But what does "such was the kingdom of heaven mean"?

A nice place where everone loves children? Well duh. If that's as spirirtual as Jesus gets, I'm not buying.

John i don't have a problem with comments, but as you know, people online get downright nasty. Especially with a clip like this, which is a favorite, i don't want a bunch of fighting on it so that it tarnishes my memory of it. As you know, people fight wars over this stuff.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean when you ask for references? It's Mathew 19:14 (Chapter 19, verse 14) if that's what your asking....
