																	couldn't try 
																	to escape 
																	and go home. 
																	But oddly, 
																	as I watch 
																	the war 
																	starting 
																	again on 
																	CNN, I find 
																	myself 
																	thinking 
																	about a 
																	woman I met 
																	who had, by 
																	Congolese 
																	standards, 
																	not suffered 
																	in extremis.
