Selective breeding and planting and plant grafting and hybridization has been done for thousands of years - that's just a slow way of doing genetic modification.

Yup, but that's on nature's terms. Nature keeps the species separate and doesn't breed fish genes into plants etc.

FFrom my understanding, the food shortage will be BECAUSE of gM foods.
