Staph has long been a culprit in institutional infections. Blame managed care and the MD's that were seduced by or forced into it. Too busy Dr.'s give ourt scrips for antibiotics in order to get a patient in and out in the 5 or so minutes allotted them per patient by "corporate". It's much quicker than arguing with a patient who won't believe a pill won't "cure" his/her cold virus.
