Americans are mostly shown in a negative light...I had always felt that there should not be any generalizations on that score! I like this article. It makes real sense.

I don't know what an American is, but one rather large white woman I work with is convinced said American will soon be brown in color and speaking Spanish. Said large woman also burst into tears, angered at the thought that Jesus was NOT white, blue-eyed, and 6 feet 6 inches tall.

An American can also be yellow, but mostly from Hepatitis A.

It's the leader (Bush) the Americans are governed by that is giving all Americans a bad name. It will take a lot of years to undo the damage Bush has done to the American credibility.

you're forgetting that the leader was elected by the people with 'bad name'. second thing you're forgetting is that a lot more people are involved in government than the President. And what exactly is "the damage"? 9/11 could be (and should be) classified as "the damage"... trying to prevent others from repeating it wouldn't. As for other countries (some of them) looking negatively at America - that was in place LONG before Bush came to power. I would even say that it goes way back before Bush was born. There were the Brits, the Germans, the Japanese, lately the French, the muslims and let's not forget the Russians. Most of those were way before Bush. The dislike came fr...
