They'll get over it. It's just because it's a new thing (relatively) and they're not used to it yet. Give it a couple of years, and people will not only NOT notice them, but they'll be thankful for them. I, for one, am always relieved when I see a security camera where I am, whether it's shopping or just walking down a street. I know that if something were to happen to me (or my vehicle), that a camera somewhere will catch the perpetrator.

Yep, the Jews "got over" losing their families in the Holocaust too.

Those that trade freedom, for security, deserve neither. And ironically, that is what they end up with too - neither.

Hmm, I didn't realize we were talking about the Holocaust. How did we make that leap?

And please, do tell, how are security cameras associated with giving up freedom? What are you NOT free to do, because of cameras? You can still pick your nose, dig your underwear out of your butt, or whatever else it is that you're free to do. But if you do anything illegal (by your own free will), then you will be caught!

It used to be, when there was only a fraction of the population, that you'd have the nosy nellies peeping out of their window curtains, spying on everything that everybody was doing. But then, there was no proof, and people had to rely on word of mouth and gossip. Lots of innocent peop...

Ah yes, the "if I haven't done anything wrong I got nothing to worry about".

Of course that presumes that police and/or goverment will never abuse the system for example to track and harass protesters or minorities or anything of that sort. Not to mention they do little or nothing to PREVENT crime, only recorded for posterity and the 24h news cycle to instill more fear in people.
