Who make the laws. The Catholic Church guides the govt. Men make the decisions within the church and most of the decisions within the govt.
Men make the women pregnant.
Men decide whether or not the baby will live.
If the woman has no official say in the process, is she not oppressed?

How does the Catholic Church guide the Brazilian government? It is one thing to say that the men in this government are Catholic and maybe (should be imo) are influenced in decision making, based on Catholicism morality.

Men make the women pregnant.
Men do make women pregnant but it takes both to conceive, last time I checked.

Men decide whether or not the baby will live.
Shouldn't all babies live?

The Archbishop of the catholic church in Australia told politicians to vote against stem cell research or go to hell. The same type of pressure would be applied in Brazil.
It does take two to conceive (arrogant comment), but only the man can be in control of the sperm.
One last point I think you missed, Efrain. One million abortions a year (each and every) happen in Brazil, Reform is needed.

Murder in itself is a grave sin. Murder of the innocent, especially of your own child is horrendous. The Church will speak the truth on behalf of the unborn regardless on who becomes offended.

Reform is needed worldwide to protect the unborn. There can not possibly be a greater good that results in the termination of an innocent life. When society goes on believing that their economic or social status are more important than the well being of humans, then serious reform is indeed needed. I see a couple of connections to the Catholic Church. Been there and left. The reform I call for has been needed for the 2000 years or so, since the bible was put together with it's amazingly strong bias against women.

How do make the connection with "bias against women" and the right to life? Are you insinuating that since the Church is against the murder of pre-term children, that they are discriminating against women?
