If you are looking for a history book with the usual "Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492"...etc. etc. , then you won't like this book!

I'd never heard of howard Zinn untill I came upon this article by him. Its too big to pop now but a good read anyway

I read Zinn's work in college. He's a fantastic historian and not only tells history as it happened but backs it up with tons of primary sources for you to make up your own mind with.

I checked out the article on Zinn. Was a good one. I read his book "A People's History Of The United States" a few years ago. I hadn't heard of him before that. I might do another "clip" about that article.
Seems like as soon as you criticize anything about this country there are those who think you are not patriotic. I don't at all understand that way of thinking. This is certainly a great country, but it needs history and an honest evaluation to keep it great. This article makes some good points.
