Are there many rights left to protect?

rustajb, You advocate for privacy, which is not in the constitution, but want to kick lobbyists out the country for exercising a God-given right?

The justification for claiming a constitutional right to "privacy" (protection from unreasonable search and seizure) can be found in the fourth amendment. Of course this was one of those issues at the very foundation of the Republic that the right like to try to rewrite.

That Willhem wants to play little word games rather than discuss the issue honestly points to the fact that some really do have too much time on their hands.

Watermelon anyone?

Willhelm, please tell me what "god-given rights" have to do with politics. Politics are man made and have nothing to do with any gods. I do advocate privacy and the reasonable expectations thereof, but fail to see what this has to do with lobbying and the democratic process. What you are doing is called mongering, look it up.

A democracy that is "by the people for the people" is only wounded by special interests who find they can buy their desires with money. Considering that 1/3 of ALL us foreign aid goes to Israel (that's my tax money going out the door / and it's 7 times the amount of aid we give to Africa) … the idea that some of that comes right back by the way of lobbying is unsettlin...

The ONLY force that should ultimately have a say in a true "democracy"
should be the votes of the people, not the special interests of foreign
nations and private corporations.
Oh, good, so you are a Libertarian.
